Critical August 2025 IRS Deadlines for Businesses

August 11 - Form 941 Filing Deadline for Q2

August 15 - Monthly Payroll Tax Deposits

Employers adhering to monthly deposit rules need to make deposits for Social Security, Medicare, and withheld income tax by August 15, 2025, covering July 2025 liabilities. Additionally, this deadline applies to nonpayroll withholding deposits for the same period.

Weekends & Holiday Adjustments:

Should a due date coincide with a weekend or legal holiday, the deadline automatically extends to the subsequent business day that is not a holiday.
